新情境·傳統(tǒng)文化
建議用時:10分鐘
難度:★★★★☆
Sugar painting is a Chinese folk art. It started from the Ming Dynasty(朝代) and became popular in the Qing Dynasty. People like it very much because it looks nice and tastes sweet.
Sugar painting has different patterns(圖案), such as birds, rabbits and dragons. People usually spin a needle(指針) to choose the pattern.
Sugar painting is very different from the other forms of painting. The sugar painters use syrup(糖漿) as the material, a spoon as the “paintbrush”, and a slab(臺面) as the “paper”. To make the syrup, they have to make sugar melt before painting. Since the syrup becomes solid(固體的) if it cools, the painters have to produce the work very quickly. They move the spoon full of the syrup up and down, left and right. Soon a sugar painting is done. And the painters put a bamboo stick on it. Once the painting cools, people can take it with the stick and enjoy the sweet painting.
Now, sugar painting has already been listed as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.
