As we all know, there is only one Earth. Green mountains and clear water are as good as mountains of gold and silver. So it's important to protect the Earth.
However, the environment around us is getting worse and worse. The air pollution is so serious that many people get sick. Moreover, factories put waste water into rivers and lakes. As a result, they smell terrible. People in some areas even don't have enough clean water to drink. So I think we should act right away to protect our Earth.
First, our government should make laws. Second, we can go to school on foot or by bike to save energy. Also, we can use shopping baskets instead of plastic bags when shopping to reduce pollution.
