Recently we have had a survey in our class about heroes. Here are the results.
Thirty percent of the students consider Sherlock Holmes as their hero because he is intelligent
and he always keeps calm when meeting difficulties. He is a wise detective. Twenty-five percent of
students say Marie Curie is their hero because she discovered the element radium. She also pushed
for the use of X-ray equipment. Forty-five percent of the students admire Jackie Chan most because
of his excellent action films. He also spends much time doing charity work.
I admire Tu Youyou most. She pioneered a new approach to malaria treatment that has benefited
hundreds of millions of people and she became the first Chinese citizen to win the Nobel Prize.
